MNU Thinadhoo Campus participated in a World Ocean Day-related activity organised by Thinadhoo City Council in June 2024, together with several institutions in Thinadhoo City.

The activity included community environmental action such as island cleaning and tree planting, highlighting the importance of protecting the ocean, coastal environment, and island ecosystems. It encouraged public participation and collective responsibility for keeping the environment clean and sustainable.

The event promoted marine conservation, environmental awareness, waste reduction, community action, and protection of natural resources. For an island community, such activities are especially important in building awareness of the connection between daily actions, coastal health, and long-term resilience.
