Entrepreneurs Confluence Kulhudhuffushi Edition Concludes with Strong Community Support

21 November 2025

The Entrepreneurs Confluence Kulhudhuffushi Edition concluded successfully this weekend, bringing together students, business owners, local leaders and community partners for a programme of dialogue and exchange. The event was initiated by the MNU Business School Students’ Association (BSSA) of The Maldives National University, in collaboration with the Kulhudhuffushi City Council and the team at MNU Kulhudhuffushi Campus.

The panel discussion held during the event explored the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the northern region, the expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises, and the opportunities available for the atoll’s youth across various sectors.

Panelists also exchanged views on the role educational institutions can play in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young people, and on ways to build strong networks among councils, business owners and NGOs to develop businesses in the region.

This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting entrepreneurship, SME development and youth employability, SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening the role of educational institutions in developing entrepreneurial skills, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by bringing together councils, businesses, NGOs and academia to advance shared development goals.

MNUBS extends its appreciation to the Kulhudhuffushi City Council for its support and cooperation in making the event a success. The Entrepreneurs Confluence Kulhudhuffushi Edition reflects the faculty’s continued commitment to community engagement, student leadership and the development of the local business ecosystem.
