Lecturer Hussain Shareef conducted a career guidance session titled “Tips for Choosing a Career” for students of Th. Veymandoo School. The interactive session aimed to support secondary school students in making informed decisions about their future academic and career pathways.
The session provided practical guidance on identifying strengths and interests, exploring emerging career opportunities, and aligning academic choices with future aspirations. Through discussions and interactive activities, students were encouraged to reflect on their abilities and consider the skills and educational pathways relevant to their career goals.
The initiative contributed to SDG 4: Quality Education by supporting informed academic decision-making and complementing formal education; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by strengthening career awareness, decision-making, and employability skills; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by promoting engagement and knowledge sharing between higher education institutions and schools.
The session reflects the university’s commitment to youth development, career readiness, community engagement, and equitable access to educational support, helping students make informed choices about their future academic and professional journeys.
