The Maldives National University (MNU) Library conducted an APA Referencing Session for students of the School of Nursing, Hithadhoo Campus, on 22 October 2026 at 14:00. A total of 13 students participated in the session.

The session aimed to strengthen students’ academic referencing skills and promote the importance of acknowledging sources in academic work. Participants received practical guidance on APA 7th Edition referencing, including preparing accurate in-text citations and reference lists for various sources such as books, journal articles, websites and online resources.

The session also covered paraphrasing, summarising, quoting and avoiding plagiarism through appropriate referencing practices.

The session supported students in developing academic integrity and producing accurate, ethical and academically credible assignments and research work. Through such initiatives, MNU Library continues to support students in strengthening their information literacy and academic skills.
