On 18 June 2025, Lecturer Hussain Shareef conducted an information session titled “Ways to Provide Effective Career Guidance to Students” for parents of students at Th. Guraidhoo School.

The session aimed to strengthen parents’ understanding of their important role in supporting their children’s career exploration, educational planning, and informed decision-making. Participants were introduced to practical strategies for helping students identify their interests and strengths, explore future career pathways, and make informed choices about their education.

The session also emphasised the importance of collaboration between parents and schools in supporting students’ educational and career development. By engaging parents in the career guidance process, the initiative encouraged a supportive environment in which students can develop confidence and make informed decisions about their future.

The initiative contributes to Quality Education by promoting inclusive and equitable learning opportunities through informed career guidance. It supports Decent Work and Economic Growth by helping young people prepare for future employment and career pathways, while advancing Partnerships for the Goals through stronger collaboration among schools, families, and communities to support students’ educational and career development.
