The Maldives National University (MNU) Library conducted an APA Referencing Session for 53 students from the eighth semester of the Bachelor of Nursing programme on 28 September 2025.

The two-hour session, held from 13:00 to 15:00, focused on developing students’ understanding and practical skills in using the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style in academic work.

The session provided practical guidance on APA 7th Edition referencing, including how to create accurate in-text citations and reference lists for different types of sources, such as books, journal articles, websites, and online resources. Participants also learned about paraphrasing, summarizing, quoting, and avoiding plagiarism through appropriate referencing practices.

The session supported quality education and lifelong learning by helping students produce credible academic work. These skills also prepare students for ethical professional practice and encourage academic integrity. By sharing educational resources and research skills with students, the Library contributed to the exchange of knowledge that supports partnerships for the goals.
