The Maldives National University (MNU) hosted Sagaafee Sai – 2026, bringing together students from different countries and cultural backgrounds for an evening of cultural exchange, connection, and shared experiences.

Now a regular gathering at MNU, Sagaafee Sai provides an opportunity for international students to connect with one another and with the wider MNU community, while celebrating the diversity of cultures represented across the University. The gathering reflects MNU’s continued efforts to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive campus environment.

Senior officials of the University, together with members of the MNU community, participated in the gathering, joining international students in an evening of cultural exchange and celebration.

The gathering featured sagaafee sai, a traditional Maldivian tea associated with hospitality and togetherness. Students also took part in cultural activities, games, and performances, sharing their traditions and learning more about Maldivian culture.

Supported by the Maldives National University Students’ Union (MNUSU), the gathering brought students together in an atmosphere of friendship, cultural appreciation, and celebration.

Through Sagaafee Sai and similar initiatives, MNU continues to encourage meaningful connections across cultures and strengthen a sense of belonging within our diverse student community.
