he Japanese Language Programme for Maldives Immigration staff concluded with a special closing ceremony held on 13 August 2026, celebrating the successful completion of the programme and the achievements of its participants.

Her Excellency Ishigami Rumiko, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Maldives, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Her presence highlighted the strong friendship and continued cooperation between the Maldives and Japan, particularly in promoting language learning, cultural exchange and people-to-people connections.

The ceremony recognised the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the participants throughout the programme.
