Psychological First Aid Training Completed in Thinadhoo

A Psychological First Aid (PFA) Training was successfully conducted in Thinadhoo from 18th to 20th April 2026, with 21 participants completing the programme.

The training focused on strengthening participants’ ability to provide safe, respectful, and practical support to people experiencing distress following difficult or traumatic situations. Through interactive sessions and practical activities, participants learned key supportive communication skills and how to respond appropriately while linking individuals to further help when needed.

The programme was carried out by the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) in partnership with MNU Thinadhoo Campus – Faculty of Health Sciences, with support from the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends its appreciation to the facilitators and all participants for their active engagement and commitment to building a more caring and supportive community.
