As part of the Dhivehi Day celebrations organised under the initiative of the Faculty of Arts, a series of special activities were conducted at MNU Thinadhoo Campus to celebrate and promote the richness of the Dhivehi language and culture.
The primary objective of these activities was to revive and strengthen the use of Dhivehi, promote cultural appreciation, and instill a spirit of patriotism and national pride among students through meaningful participation and creative expression.
The celebrations featured a Wall Newspaper Writing Competition, encouraging students to showcase their writing skills and highlight cultural themes; a Big/Bold Letter Writing Competition, focusing on Dhivehi script, clarity, and presentation; and Luika Vaadha, where participants brought traditional foods prepared in ways that allow them to last longer—promoting local knowledge and cultural practices tied to Maldivian heritage.
MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends appreciation to the Faculty of Arts, organisers, and all students who took part in making the Dhivehi Day activities engaging and impactful.
