The Department of Dhivehi Language and Culture, Faculty of Arts, Maldives National University (MNU) conducted a vibrant Dhivehi Bahuge Dhuvas celebration on 19 April 2025 as part of the Term 1 academic activities.

The event was organised to promote appreciation for the Dhivehi language, literature, and Maldivian cultural heritage among university students. It provided students with opportunities to engage in various Dhivehi literary and cultural activities, encouraging greater appreciation of the national language and its role in preserving cultural identity.

As part of the event, students enrolled in Dhivehi for Professionals participated in a range of activities that allowed them to apply their linguistic knowledge and skills in a practical setting. These activities also formed part of their academic assessment, providing students with valuable experiential learning beyond the classroom.

The celebration concluded with an award ceremony, where high-achieving students and competition winners were presented with trophies in recognition of their achievements.
