MNU Thinadhoo Campus launched a Kitchen Garden Project, planting edible crops such as cucumber, lady’s finger, beans, chili, and snake gourd. This initiative, managed by the TC Staff Club, promotes sustainable agriculture within the campus and enhances access to fresh and organic produce. The harvested vegetables are sold to staff at rates lower than market prices—contributing to local food security, improved nutrition, and supporting a more sustainable food system. MNU Thinadhoo Campus in association with Business Centre Corporation conducted a workshop on enabling E-commerce with Generative AI, aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and small business owners. By introducing cutting-edge tools and strategies, the workshop provided participants with new opportunities to expand their businesses online, enhance productivity, and increase income—helping to uplift the local economy and reduce poverty. The Session was conducted by Dr. Hussain Waheed on 12th August 2024.

6-hour First Aid session for all the staff of Aboobakuru School at MNU Thinadhoo Campus conducted on, 29th June 2024.

A 7-hour First Aid Training session was conducted for the security and support staff of MNU Thinadhoo Campus. Five members from the KDM Fire and Rescue Team also participated in the session, enhancing the collaborative effort to ensure safety and preparedness.

An 8-hour First Aid training session was conducted for students from the School of Nursing and Dhannakaleygefaanu Dhanaalu (Hostel). The session focused on developing essential life-saving skills, enhancing emergency response preparedness, and fostering confidence in handling medical emergencies effectively.

A First-Aid Training Program was organized by the Thinadhoo City Women’s Development Committee in association with The Maldives National University, Thinadhoo Campus. The program aimed to equip participants with essential first-aid knowledge and practical skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies and promote community safety.

A health screening event was organized for students at Aboobakuru School, conducted by Advanced Diploma in Nursing students from MNU Hithadhoo and Thinadhoo Campuses. The activity aimed to promote student health and wellness while offering hands-on community health experience for nursing students.

A health screening program was conducted for Grade 3 students at Thinadhoo School by Advanced Diploma in Nursing students from MNU Malé, Hithadhoo, and Thinadhoo Campuses. The initiative aimed to assess the health and well-being of young students while providing nursing students with valuable practical experience in community health and child care.

Mental Health Day was observed at MNU Thinadhoo Campus to promote awareness and understanding of mental well-being among students and staff. The event featured interactive sessions, discussions, and activities focused on stress management, emotional resilience, and creating a supportive campus environment for everyone.

A beach cleaning activity was conducted on 1st March 2024 in the early morning, with active participation from students and staff. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, community responsibility, and the importance of maintaining clean and healthy coastal areas.

An outdoor gym has been opened for the public, as well as for university students and staff, providing a dedicated space to promote health, fitness, and well-being within the community.
