From 22nd to 29th October 2025, Senior Lecturer Ibrahim Mohamed participated in a Professional Development (PD) Programme on “Adult Learning” in the Philippines under the BSP programme.
The programme provided an opportunity to deepen understanding of adult learning principles, approaches, and practices, while exploring effective strategies for engaging adult learners and responding to their diverse learning needs.
Through the programme, Senior Lecturer Ibrahim Mohamed gained valuable insights into lifelong learning, learner-centred approaches, professional development, and effective teaching practices for adult learners. The experience also supported the strengthening of professional skills and approaches that can contribute to improved learning experiences.
The programme further promoted lifelong learning and quality education by enhancing educators’ capacity to support diverse learners. It also strengthened professional knowledge and skills relevant to workforce development and continuing education, while providing an opportunity for international knowledge exchange and collaboration in the field of education.
The experience will contribute to the continued development of teaching and learning practices within the Faculty of Education and support the sharing of international perspectives and best practices in adult education.
