The Maldives National University’s Recreation programs fosters a fun and inclusive environment that promotes physical and overall well-being that enhance individual growth and movement. The Maldives National University’s Sport Programs are led by the Maldives National University’s Student Union (MNUSU) and strives to advance student engagement and leadership through sport.
MNUSU’s Sports Programs offer a variety of ways to get involved including officiating games on campus. New officials and scorekeepers are needed for each sport activity or tournament organized by the union, and no experience is necessary. Just bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and general knowledge of the sport.
MNUSU’s sports activities provide students the opportunity for competition and fun in a variety of sports throughout the semester. The platforms provided by the union gives the participants the chance to have fun and be competitive at the same time. The MNUSU website will give you detail of the activities that are scheduled for the year.
Maldives National University’s Recreation facilities offer a variety of fitness services for our students to enjoy. Indoor Recreation Facilities provide opportunities for all our students. All our activities are free and students are encouraged to use it and ensure a healthy life.
The gym located in FHS building, is free for students and open during working hours of the university. You can train using free-weights, cardio bikes, rowing machine or the treadmill for fitness training and conditioning.
PE Hall located in the Central building, is free for students and can be used through the Student Union. It can be used for basketball, volley ball, futsal, badminton, handball and many other team sports.
Maldives National University’s Recreation facilities offer a variety of fitness services for our students to enjoy. Outdoor Recreation Facilities are spread over the campuses, providing opportunities for all our students. All our activities are free and we strive to provide opportunities for personal growth and foster a greater appreciation for the outdoors.
Outdoor gyms are located right next to Thinadhoo and Hithadhoo Campuses. You can condition and strengthen your body using the available equipment. Feel the nature and beauty around as you exercise.
A variety of sports facilities free of charge is provided in the open area for students studying on all our campuses. It includes of volley ball, badminton, basketball, handball and many other team sports. Use your time to engage in a sport and learn new skills.
