Semester 3 Primary Health Care students from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), The Maldives National University (MNU), visited Lh. Naifaru Hospital from 1 to 13 June 2025. The placement exposed students to public health, primary care and patient services in a clinical setting.
By observing and taking part in practical healthcare activities, students connected their studies with service delivery. The experience supported their understanding of professional practice, communication and problem solving in a hospital environment.
Regional clinical exposure supports students’ preparation for healthcare work across different communities in the Maldives.
The visit supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) through experiential training and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through preparation for primary healthcare practice.
