Zahudha Abdul Azeez

Biography

Ms. Zahudha Abdul Azeez is an esteemed Senior Lecturer in public health at Faculty of Health Sciences of the Maldives National University since 2007. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of the West of England and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Psychology. Her academic prowess is reflected in her significant research, including a notable paper on Elderly Wellbeing in Male’ City, on the Maldives National Journal of Research [MNJR].

In her role, Ms. Zahudha has been instrumental in a key national-level research project, focusing on family planning, deworming, and vitamin A supplementation, influencing national health strategies. She has showcased her expertise on international stages, including presenting at Theveli, the 3rd International Conference in the Maldives, and contributing to the Ministry of Health Bulletin. Recently, one of her papers was published on Journal of Mental Health and Aging during 2023.

Dedicated to empowering her students, Ms. Zahudha promotes critical thinking and a research-oriented mindset, aiming to inspire a new wave of public health professionals. Her teaching style is interactive and thought-provoking, preparing her students not just for academic success but for meaningful contributions to the field of public health.
