Biography

Agleema Ahmed is a Lecturer at the School of Nursing, Maldives National University, with extensive clinical and academic experience in critical care and cardiac nursing. She has over 10 years of professional experience in healthcare, particularly in intensive and cardiac care settings.

Before joining academia, she worked at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in the Cardiac Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care to critically ill patients. Her clinical background has greatly influenced her teaching, allowing her to integrate real-world clinical experience with nursing education.

As a nursing educator, Agleema is committed to enhancing clinical competence, critical thinking, and decision-making skills among nursing students. Her teaching approach focuses on innovative educational strategies, including simulation-based learning, flipped classroom methods, and technology-enhanced teaching.

Her research interests include nursing education, simulation-based training, critical care nursing, clinical decision-making, and interprofessional collaboration. She actively contributes to academic research, conference presentations, and curriculum development aimed at improving healthcare education and patient care quality.
