Roza Ibrahim

Acting Head / Lead Instructional Designer

Biography

She is a dedicated and dynamic higher education professional and e-learning advocate, with a
career in the higher education and education sector that began in 1993.

Roza joined MNU in 2005 and is currently working as a Lead Instructional Designer and an
Acting Head at The Centre for Educational Technology and Excellence (CETE), The Maldives
National University. As an Acting Head, she leads strategic initiatives in alignment with the
faculty and MNU goals and objectives to enhance teaching and learning through effective use of
innovative educational technology. Also, she oversees the instructional designing, training and
quality assurance of the learning management system ensuring staff proficiency. Additionally,
she has been teaching different subjects for degree and master’s level students in the area of
teaching, English language and research.  

She has been an active researcher in the field of higher education, educational technology and e-
learning and has been disseminating the knowledge through conferences and publications.
Moreover, she has been a reviewer for international journals including IEEE from 2021. She has
presented multiple papers in conferences in Maldives, India and Malaysia and has published
several papers in various journals including The Maldives National Journal of Research, MNJR,
and the journal of Advanced in Dynamical & Control Systems.
