Since 1997, Hassan Shiham has been serving as a Senior Laboratory Technician at The Maldives National University, where he is currently based in the Department of Environmental and Natural Sciences within the Faculty of Engineering, Science, and Technology.

In his role, Shiham is entrusted with the organization and preparation of practical sessions across multiple scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics. His responsibilities also encompass the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, along with the efficient management of laboratory inventory, ensuring the seamless and uninterrupted operation of the laboratory environment.

Additionally,  Shiham provides essential support to lecturers in facilitating student research within the department, thereby contributing to the overall efficiency and success of academic processes.
