Since 1999, Ahmed Mafaz has been serving the Maldives National University, where he is currently based in the Faculty of Engineering, Science, and Technology. As a Senior Computer Technician, he plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Faculty’s IT infrastructure. He is responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. In addition to providing technical support, he does troubleshoot complex issues, performs diagnostics, and implements effective solutions in a timely manner. His expertise extends to managing system upgrades, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring data backup protocols are in place to prevent loss. He also mentors junior technicians, ensuring best practices are followed and that the IT team operates cohesively at Faulty. In addition to his roles at the faculty level, he pays a major role in conducting online exams in the Pearson Testing Center of the Maldives National University.
Ahmed Mafaz has obtained various training and certification programs including CCNA, CCNP and Microsoft certifications, to further enhance his professional expertise. He is a certified CCNA instructor at the Maldives National University.
