Fahi Sihhath – Dhulha heyo maadhama akha
Creating a nationwide campaign on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and their prevention, through a holistic, inclusive approach.
The Maldives National University (MNU) proposes a Nationwide Campaign to Combat Non-Communicable Diseases. This initiative focuses on addressing the key behavioural risk factors of NCDs through education, support systems, and policy interventions.
Campaign Objectives
- Raise Awareness: Educate the public about NCDs, their causes, and how to prevent them.
- Promote Healthy Lifestyles: Highlight the importance of adopting healthier habits, such as physical activity, balanced nutrition, and stress management.
- Encourage Behaviour Change: Address smoking and other risky behaviours as part of broader lifestyle improvements without direct stigmatization.
- Engage Communities: Create a movement that encourages collective action toward healthier living.
