The Maldives National University (MNU) hosted its first-ever MNU Marathon in Hulhumalé, bringing together running enthusiasts, students, staff, alumni and members of the wider community for a celebration of fitness, wellbeing and community spirit.

The event featured multiple race categories, including a full marathon, 5K run and a special race for young participants, providing opportunities for runners of different ages and abilities to take part. With exciting race experiences, exclusive race kits and cash prizes, the marathon encouraged greater participation in physical activity and healthy lifestyles.

Beyond the competition, MNU Marathon 2025 aimed to strengthen community bonds and foster the MNU Spirit by bringing people together through sport and shared achievement.
