The MNU Library conducted an APA Referencing Session for Bachelor of Marine Science students on 27 October 2026.

The session aimed to develop students’ academic referencing skills and enhance their understanding of the importance of acknowledging sources in academic work. Participants received practical guidance on APA 7th Edition referencing, including preparing accurate in-text citations and reference lists for various sources such as books, journal articles, websites and online resources.

The session also covered paraphrasing, summarising, quoting and avoiding plagiarism through appropriate referencing practices, supporting students in producing accurate, ethical and academically credible assignments and research.

A total of 2 students attended the session.
