The Maldives National University (MNU) Kulhudhuffushi Campus conducted a professional development session on “Curriculum Development and Course Review” for its academic staff. The session was facilitated by Nuha Ismail Fulhu from the MNU Business School.
The session focused on curriculum design, course review processes and quality assurance in higher education. Participants explored constructive alignment, learning outcomes, assessment strategies and the importance of regularly reviewing academic programmes to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.
The session also provided an opportunity for academic staff to exchange experiences and discuss best practices in curriculum enhancement and continuous improvement.
Staff appreciated the practical discussions and recognized the importance of regularly evaluating and improving academic programmes.
The programme strengthened academic staff capacity in curriculum planning, assessment alignment and quality assurance. It supported continuous improvement in teaching and learning while promoting high academic standards and ensuring that courses remain responsive to student needs and evolving professional requirements.
