The “Fahi Furusathu Job Festival 2026,” an annual initiative by the Maldives National University (MNU), was successfully concluded in L. Gan. Held on June 3rd and 4th, the festival aimed to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, providing a platform for networking and the exchange of career-related information.
The event, hosted at the Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani School hall, featured 14 exhibitors representing government institutions, private corporations, and security services. Key participants included the L. Gan Council, the Women’s Development Committee, Gan Regional Hospital, Maldives Immigration, Business Center Corporation (BCC), Maldives Police Service, and the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF). Furthermore, prominent organizations such as the Bank of Maldives, Dhiraagu, Horizon Fisheries, Road Development Corporation (RDC), Manta Conservation Programme, National Career Services, and the MNU Gan Campus took part in the festival, providing youth with essential information regarding employment opportunities and vocational training.
The two-day festival was held from 16:00 to 18:00 and 20:00 to 22:00 daily. A significant number of youth and job seekers from Laamu Atoll attended the event to explore various opportunities and gather information.
