A professional development session on “Effective Classroom Management and Team Building” was conducted for teachers of Sh. Bileffahi School on 25th February 2024. The programme aimed to strengthen teachers’ skills in creating positive learning environments and supporting effective collaboration among colleagues.
The session was facilitated by Ibrahim Mohamed, Senior Lecturer from the Maldives National University’s (MNU) Faculty of Education. Participants explored practical strategies for managing classroom behaviour, promoting student engagement and establishing a supportive classroom culture.
The programme also examined the role of teamwork in achieving positive educational outcomes. Teachers discussed approaches to strengthening professional collaboration and working together to support students’ learning.
Through interactive activities and discussions, participants reflected on their teaching practices and identified strategies they could apply in their classrooms and school environment.
Teachers appreciated the practical nature of the session and found the strategies relevant to their daily work. The programme enhanced their knowledge and confidence in classroom management while strengthening their understanding of effective teamwork.
The session reflected MNU’s commitment to supporting teachers’ professional development and contributing to quality education through practical knowledge and engagement with schools.
