The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at The Maldives National University (MNU) convened a meeting with Dr. Fawaz Shareef on 11 September 2024 to guide revision of course development documents. The discussion focused on gathering feedback from students, lecturers and employers and incorporating it into programme review.
Course leaders were also advised on institutional timelines for Committee of Courses and Maldives Qualifications Authority submissions. The meeting clarified the steps needed to strengthen curriculum quality and the relevance of health sciences programmes to workforce needs.
Input from learners, teachers and employers can help ensure that revised courses remain academically sound and relevant to professional practice.
The review contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening curricula and relates to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through preparation for health-sector employment. Seeking stakeholder input also reflects SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
