MEDICOS (Medical Students’ Association) volunteers from the School of Medicine participated in a health screening programme conducted for staff members of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL). The initiative provided students with an opportunity to actively engage in community health promotion activities such as delivering basic health assessments and awareness services. Through their involvement, students gained practical experience in preventive healthcare, patient interaction, and health education.
The programme highlighted the importance of early detection, regular health monitoring, and promoting healthy lifestyles among working communities. By bringing together medical students and an organizational workforce, the activity supported community engagement and strengthened the role of future healthcare professionals in addressing public health needs.
