FHS is the oldest training unit of Maldives National University, opened in 1973 under the name of Allied Health Services Training Centre. Since then, FHS stands strong in providing training in different disciplines including, Public Health, Primary Health Care, Occupational Health and Safety, Health Service Management, Medical Laboratory Science, Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Physiotherapy, and Pharmacy

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a 4-year undergraduate degree program that prepares graduates for a career in rehabilitating patients and helping to maintain or maximize movement and function in people who are affected by injury, illness, or disability. Students learn from hands-on experience through extensive clinical placements in multiple settings which include cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, musculoskeletal, sports and exercise and Community Practice. Making you job-ready when you graduate as highly competent physiotherapists.

Masters of Public Health

Understanding the interplay of the biological, social, economic, cultural, political, behavioral, and environmental factors that affect the health of populations is important in this globalized world. Masters of Public Health will equip students with the necessary leadership and decision-making skills to respond to the health care challenges in the planning and delivery of health care in the Maldives. Students will also be able to gain the research capabilities to accurately quantify, address and project the public health needs of society.
