Facilities at FEST?

We are pleased to welcome you to the  facilities at the Faculty of Engineering, Science, and Technology (FEST). Our labs provide essential resources for students. Equipped with industrial hardware, software, and networking tools, these labs offer hands-on learning experiences that help students develop practical skills and prepare for real-world challenges.

The Computer and Network Labs support a variety of learning activities, including programming, network configuration, cybersecurity, and software development. Students have the opportunity to work with industry-standard tools and technologies, ensuring they are well-prepared for careers in the fast-paced tech world. Whether collaborating on group projects or working on individual assignments, these labs foster innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Our architectural studios foster creativity and design thinking. Equipped with the latest software and drafting tools, architecture students can explore and develop their design ideas. The studios provide spaces for hands-on projects from initial sketches to 3D modelling and rendering, helping students bring their architectural concepts to life. Students can collaborate with peers, receive feedback from faculty, and refine their designs, preparing them for successful careers in architectural practice.

Explore how our labs and studios can enhance your academic journey and equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in your chosen field.

Computer Labs

The FEST is equipped with two general-purpose computer labs, located in Q3-09 and Q204, each with a capacity of 30 and 31 workstations, respectively. Additionally, the Q4-02 lab is designated for geospatial applications, providing 24 workstations for specialized tasks. The Q3-4 lab is dedicated to multimedia applications, offering a tailored environment for creative and technical projects.

Networking Lab

The general-purpose lab Q3-09 is also adaptable for use as a network lab, equipped with the necessary resources for Cisco Networking Academy courses, including firewall, routers, switches and IoT devices. This flexibility allows the lab to support a wide range of networking activities, from hands-on configuration to simulation real-world scenarios and troubleshooting exercises. Students can engage in practical, real-world scenarios to enhance their skills in networking, preparing them for industry certifications and advanced technical roles.

Architectural Studios

Our Architectural Studios are dedicated spaces assigned to student batches, providing an environment that fosters creativity and design exploration. These studios are equipped with essential drafting tools, and materials for students to engage in hands-on design and planning projects. They offer ample space for sketching, model building, and group collaboration. Students can develop their architectural concepts through traditional design techniques, preparing them for the real-world demands of architectural practice and project execution. The studio setup ensures that students can focus on refining their design ideas, collaborating with peers, and receiving feedback from faculty to enhance their skills.
