On 18th September, around 20 Civil Engineering and Architecture students from the Construction Project Management module at FEST visited the Land Reclamation and Shore Protection for Future Infrastructure Project at Hulhumalé Phase 3, developed by Mohan Mutha Infrastructures Pvt. Ltd. for the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Maldives. The visit exposed students to practical aspects of marine infrastructure development, including dredging, reclamation, revetment works, coastal protection, project planning, scheduling, quality control, risk management, and stakeholder coordination. Students observed construction activities, modern technologies, environmental safeguards, and infrastructure integration processes. A follow-up interview session was conducted on 25th September with the Head of Projects from Mohan Mutha Infrastructures, where students gained further insights into real-world project management practices across initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases, enhancing their understanding of industry challenges and solutions.
