Lecturers from the Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Arts, Maldives National University, undertook a professional development visit to Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) from 6–9 September 2026.

The programme was hosted by the Faculty of Major Language Studies, USIM, and focused on academic collaboration, professional development, and cultural exchange.

During the visit, the lecturers participated in an Academic Collaboration and Cultural Exchange Discussion, covering areas of mutual interest, including research collaboration, faculty exchange, community service, academic and institutional programmes, curriculum development, and extension of the Advisory Council.

The discussions provided an opportunity for academics from both institutions to exchange knowledge and experiences, explore potential areas of collaboration, and strengthen academic and institutional partnerships.

The visit also supported cultural exchange and provided the participating lecturers with valuable international exposure and opportunities to explore future academic and professional development initiatives.
