This workshop explored practical ways to use AI in teaching without requiring advanced technical knowledge. Facilitated by Ahmed Shareef, the session introduced simple prompting techniques and ways to improve educational materials. It also encouraged academic staff to examine AI-generated content through an inclusive teaching lens, considering whether it meets different learners’ needs. Discussions covered bias, privacy, and overdependence, alongside the importance of thoughtful review. By encouraging each participant to develop a realistic action plan, the workshop aimed to help educators move from exploring AI tools to using them responsibly in their teaching practice.
