MNU Thinadhoo Campus celebrated Environment Day on 5 June 2024 by participating in a tree planting event supporting the Government of Maldives’ “5 Million Tree Project.”

Staff and students planted trees within the campus area and small plants around the Thinadhoo jetty area, contributing to beautification and environmental health. The event was attended by Thinadhoo City Mayor Saud Ali and City Council member Mohamed Zaleef Abdullah.

As part of the initiative, the campus also launched a kitchen garden concept by planting edible crops such as cucumber, lady’s finger, beans, and snake gourd.

The activity promoted environmental stewardship, urban greening, sustainable food practices, biodiversity, and community partnership.
