Capacity Building of Secondary Mathematics Teachers on Teaching Strategies for the students with Complex Learning Profiles (SCLP Project)

The project aims to enhance secondary Mathematics teachers’ confidence and competence in supporting students with complex learning profiles (SCLP). It focuses on developing a comprehensive training package that equips teachers with effective instructional strategies tailored to diverse learner needs. Through targeted awareness sessions and structured professional development, the consultancy will ensure that all secondary Mathematics teachers are informed about, and trained in, these evidence-based teaching approaches for SCLP.

National Consultant to provide support for the Ministry of Education to develop a partnership compact to apply for the Global Partnership for Education’s System Transformation Grant and to develop a Statement to submit to the Transforming Education Summit."

The project includes submitting the National Consultation Report along with the TES statement, followed by the submission of an Inception Report outlining the methodology and work plan for developing the Partnership Compact. Additionally, a report is required that analyses underperformance, identifies enabling factors, and highlights priority reform areas to guide targeted improvements.

This research aims to explore how the teaching profession is perceived, valued, and chosen as a career. It seeks to understand current perceptions of teaching, examine how its societal value has evolved over time, identify the key factors that influence individuals to pursue teaching, and highlight strategies that can help enhance the appeal of teaching as a future career.

Consultancy Project to strengthen Environmental Education in Maldives. (Fehimadharusa project)

The project aims to map opportunities for integrating Environmental Education (EE) into the national curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2 across eight subjects, develop a comprehensive EE resource repository from local sources, and create a teacher training module with sample lesson plans to be implemented via a one-month online course focused on contextualizing EE in relevant school subjects.

A refresher training session on Web of Science was held with both physical and online participation from MNU staff and students. The session focused on new platform features and highlighted the value of personal accounts for maximizing access to indexed research content. A total of 58 participants attended the session.

Environmental Valuation of Huraa Mangrove: A case study of ecological, social & economic perspectives.

This project mainly focuses on economic value and ecosystem services of Huraa Mangrove. The main rationale behind this project is to introduce economic valuation as a form of conservation strategy of wetlands. By comparing the economic value of the mangrove ecosystem, the project aims to create awareness and appreciation among all the stakeholders about the natural role of the mangrove.
