Batch 6 medical students from the School of Medicine participated in “Isravvehinge Haveeru,” a community program organized by the Maldives Red Crescent Kulhudhuffushi Unit. In collaboration with the Public Health Unit of Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, students designed and facilitated interactive stalls featuring memory games and cognitive activities for older adults.

The program aimed to promote healthy ageing by encouraging mental stimulation, social interaction, and community engagement among the elderly. Through direct interaction with older adults, students gained practical experience in geriatric health, health promotion, and community-based care while developing empathy and communication skills.

The initiative highlighted the importance of preventive approaches to healthy ageing and fostered collaboration between the university, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
