Change Management Seminar Held by Nursing Students at MNU Thinadhoo Campus

02nd November 2026

Advanced Diploma in Nursing 5th Semester students successfully conducted a Change Management Seminar titled “Embrace Innovation, Elevate Standards and Redefine the Future of Healthcare” at MNU Thinadhoo Campus Hall on 2 November 2026.

The seminar provided a platform for students to present their knowledge, share innovative strategies, and explore current trends in nursing and healthcare management. Through student-led presentations and discussions, participants were encouraged to consider how change, innovation, leadership, and quality improvement contribute to stronger healthcare services.

The activity also supported the development of important professional skills, including presentation, communication, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving. By organising and delivering the seminar, students were able to connect theoretical concepts with practical issues related to workplace change and healthcare management.

The initiative contributes to SDG 3 by strengthening future healthcare professionals’ understanding of quality improvement, innovation, and effective healthcare management, all of which support better health services and patient care.

It also contributes to SDG 4 by promoting student-led learning, professional skills development, critical thinking, and the application of academic knowledge in practical contexts. Such learning opportunities help prepare students for continued professional development and lifelong learning.

The seminar further supports SDG 8 by developing workplace-relevant competencies such as leadership, adaptability, communication, teamwork, and professional readiness. These skills are important for students as they prepare to enter and contribute effectively to the healthcare workforce.

By encouraging students to explore innovation and evolving approaches within healthcare, the activity also supports SDG 9, particularly through the promotion of innovation, improved practices, and adaptation to changing professional environments.

Through activities such as the Change Management Seminar, MNU Thinadhoo Campus continues to provide students with opportunities to strengthen their professional knowledge, confidence, and readiness to contribute positively to the future of healthcare.

MNU Thinadhoo Campus appreciates the participating nursing students, lecturers, organisers, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the seminar.
