The MNU Library conducted an APA Referencing Session for students and staff of the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology on 29 October 2026.

The session aimed to strengthen participants’ academic referencing skills and promote ethical practices in academic writing and research. Participants received practical guidance on APA 7th Edition referencing, including preparing accurate in-text citations and reference lists for various sources such as books, journal articles, websites and online resources.

The session also covered paraphrasing, summarising, quoting and avoiding plagiarism through appropriate referencing practices. These skills support the development of accurate, credible and academically sound assignments and research.

The session was attended by 8 students from the Master of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Information Technology programmes, along with 4 staff members.
