Semester 3 Primary Health Care students from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), The Maldives National University (MNU), visited Lh. Naifaru Hospital from 2 to 15 November 2025. They gained exposure to public health, primary care and patient services in a clinical setting.
The visit helped connect academic teaching with healthcare delivery and gave students opportunities to develop communication and practical problem-solving skills.
Learning within an island hospital supports understanding of how patient services and primary care are delivered outside the capital.
The hospital experience supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) through practical learning and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through preparation for healthcare delivery.
