FHS staff members Ibrahim Ismail and Raaima Abdul Samad participated in the Theveli International Conference, held on 19–20 August 2025, where they presented their research on the role of job security in employee job satisfaction among Maldivians.
The paper, titled “Role of Job Security on Employee Job Satisfaction among Maldivians,” examined factors relevant to employees’ workplace experiences and satisfaction. The presentation provided an opportunity to share research findings and perspectives with conference participants while contributing to wider discussions on employee wellbeing and workplace conditions.
The presentation also supported academic knowledge exchange, providing a platform for researchers and participants to engage with research addressing issues relevant to the Maldivian workforce. Understanding factors associated with employee satisfaction can contribute to informed discussions around workplace wellbeing and the broader conditions that support decent work.
Participation in the conference reflects FHS’s commitment to research dissemination, professional engagement and evidence-informed dialogue on issues relevant to health, wellbeing and society.
The initiative contributed to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through its focus on employee wellbeing, SDG 4 (Quality Education) through research dissemination and knowledge exchange, and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through attention to workplace experiences and employee job satisfaction.
