The third batch of the Marking and Moderation workshop continued the focus on fair, valid, and reliable assessment. It explored how lecturers can apply marking criteria consistently and review differences in judgement through moderation. The programme highlighted the importance of shared standards when evaluating student work, both within individual student groups and across assessment periods. It also encouraged academic staff to reflect on the decisions behind marks and how those decisions affect fairness. The workshop aimed to strengthen confidence in assessment processes and support continuous improvement in the evaluation of student achievement.
