Collaborating with Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital in celebration of International Nurses Day

This activity involved collaboration between Maldives National University and Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital to celebrate International Nurses Day and recognise nurses’ contributions to healthcare and the community. The programme included professional, educational, and community-engagement activities that promoted the value of nursing, professional development, teamwork, and public awareness of nurses’ roles in improving health outcomes.

The collaboration strengthened the partnership between the university and the hospital while promoting knowledge-sharing between nursing education and clinical practice. It increased recognition of nurses’ contributions, enhanced professional pride and motivation, and created opportunities for students, educators, and practising nurses to engage and learn from one another. The activity also raised community awareness of the nursing profession and supported continued cooperation in clinical education, workforce development, research, and community health initiatives.
