To join the Maldives National University community in celebrating MNU’s 53rd Anniversary on 1 September 2026, FHTS contributed a a specially prepared six-foot commemorative cake for the occasion.

FHTS Food & Beverage staff brought together their professional baking and decorating skills to prepare the large-scale anniversary cake. The preparation required careful planning, technical expertise, creativity, and teamwork, showcasing the practical capabilities and professional experience within the Faculty.

The initiative also reflected a strong culture of collaboration and service within the University. By contributing their professional expertise to a university-wide celebration, FHTS staff supported wider staff and student engagement and helped bring together members of the MNU community for the anniversary.

The celebration was attended by approximately 350 staff and students and included a range of activities designed to encourage participation, teamwork, and interaction across the University community.

FHTS’s contribution to the anniversary celebration demonstrated how professional skills can be shared beyond day-to-day academic activities and contribute to the wider university community. Such opportunities also encourage knowledge sharing, teamwork, and lifelong learning among staff while strengthening collaboration across MNU.
