The Training and Development Unit (TDU) of The Maldives National University is committed to supporting the continuous professional growth and development of University staff. The Unit plays a key role in coordinating training and professional development opportunities that strengthen staff knowledge, skills and competencies and contribute to the overall development of the University.
TDU coordinates a wide range of staff development activities, including training programmes, workshops and other professional development opportunities. The Unit also facilitates staff scholarships, tuition fee assistance, professional development leave, training-related travel and other administrative processes that support staff development.
Through collaboration with faculties, centres, administrative sections and relevant University committees, TDU works to ensure that professional development opportunities are effectively communicated, coordinated and implemented. The Unit maintains appropriate records and follows up on training participation, certification and other professional development activities.
Through its work, TDU aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and lifelong professional development at MNU, enabling staff to enhance their capabilities, respond to changing professional needs and contribute effectively to the University’s commitment to quality education and institutional excellence.
