The Forensics in Criminal Investigations sessions were conducted in collaboration with the Maldives Police Service, Forensic Department, for Foundation Science students enrolled in BIO035. The sessions connected biological concepts with their practical applications in forensic science and criminal investigations. Expert-led discussions introduced students to forensic evidence, scientific investigation, and the role of forensic science in supporting justice and public safety. The sessions also provided insight into forensic science as a potential career pathway while developing students’ critical thinking, scientific awareness, and understanding of the relevance of biology beyond the classroom.
