Project on Strengthening healthcare workforce capacity through global learning (SCALE) in collaboration with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation (NHCT), United Kingdom. A partnership between NHS Northumbria and MNU to stregnthen the surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance(AMR) and achieving reduced hospital acquired infections and antimicrobial stewarship in selected Regional Hospitals of Maldives.

The SCALE project was launched by Dr. Raheema Abdul Raheem, Deputy Vice Chancellor Research and Innovation, MNU at the National Infection Prevention and Control(IPC) conference held on 23rd October 2025. The project is aligned with strategic objective, 4 5 & 6 of the National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance(NAP-AMR)- 2024-2029.
