MNU Launches MNUwithU Emotional Support Line for Students and the MNU Community

3rd September 2026

The Maldives National University (MNU) is pleased to announce the availability of MNUwithU – the MNU Emotional Support Line, launched by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam, on 1 September 2026.

MNUwithU has been established to provide a safe and supportive space for students and members of the MNU community who may need someone to talk to. Whether someone is going through a difficult time, feeling overwhelmed, or simply looking for someone who will listen, the Emotional Support Line is available to offer support and a listening ear.

The MNU Emotional Support Consultant is available on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

How to Reach MNUwithU

📞 Call 1558

Members of the MNU community are encouraged to reach out whenever they feel the need for emotional support. Please note that the line may occasionally be busy or may not be answered immediately if the consultant is already speaking with another student or member of the MNU community.

If a call is not answered, individuals can also contact the MNUwithU team via email at MNUwithU@mnu.edu.mv. When sending an email, a brief description of the support needed is requested, and the team will respond as soon as possible.

MNU encourages students and members of the University community to remember that they do not have to go through difficult moments alone. Reaching out and talking to someone can be an important first step towards feeling better, understanding what one may be experiencing, and finding the next step forward.

MNUwithU is here to listen, support and be there when you need someone to talk to.
