MNU Thinadhoo Campus successfully conducted a Basic First Aid Training Session for the WAMCO Thinadhoo Team on 22 July 2026, focusing on essential emergency response skills needed in workplace and community settings.

The session was conducted by School of Nursing lecturers Sharuwath Ilyaas and Nazahath Ibrahim, who provided practical demonstrations and hands-on guidance on important first aid techniques. Participants learned how to provide immediate support during injuries, accidents, and other emergency situations until professional medical assistance is available.

The training promoted workplace safety, health awareness, emergency preparedness, and practical life-saving skills. It also strengthened staff confidence in responding calmly and effectively during unexpected incidents, supporting safer service environments for both employees and the wider community.

This initiative reflects the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and public service organisations in building community readiness and promoting health and safety. By equipping staff with basic first aid knowledge, MNU Thinadhoo Campus continues to contribute to a safer, healthier, and more prepared community.

MNU Thinadhoo Campus extends sincere appreciation to the WAMCO Thinadhoo Team for their active participation and to the School of Nursing lecturers for their valuable contribution to this meaningful training.
