Asim Abdul Sattar has generously donated a valuable collection of books and publications to the MNU Library, contributing additional resources to support teaching, learning, and research.

The donated collection covers a wide range of subjects, with a particular focus on South Asian affairs, peacebuilding, security, conflict transformation, climate security, radicalization, civil society, youth issues, displacement, and higher education.

Among the donated publications are works addressing contemporary regional issues, including Peacebuilding and Security Sector Governance in Asia, Connectors and Dividers: The Challenges and Prospects for Conflict Transformation in Kashmir and Sri Lanka, Problems in Understanding Religious Radicalization in South Asia, and Whither South Asia? Understanding Climate Security in the Anthropocene Epoch. The collection also includes publications on youth radicalization, civil society, displacement, and people-to-people interaction in South Asia.

The donation also includes publications documenting the history and development of higher education in Sri Lanka, adding further value to the Library’s collection of resources on regional educational history.

These materials will provide MNU students, academics, and researchers with additional resources for exploring regional issues, peace and security, social development, and the history of higher education in South Asia.
