The Maldives National University (MNU) is pleased to announce the MNU Book Fair 2026, scheduled to take place from 3 to 5 September 2026 at the MNU Central Administration. The fair will be open to the public daily from 16:00 to 22:00.

The MNU Book Fair brings together authors, publishers, and book enthusiasts, providing a dedicated platform for Maldivian writers to showcase and share their literary works with a wider audience. The fair welcomes publications in different languages and provides authors with an opportunity to connect with readers, promote their works, and contribute to the growth of the local literary community.

Following the success and strong public support received in previous years, the MNU Book Fair will continue as an annual initiative aimed at promoting a culture of reading, supporting local writers and publishers, and contributing to the development of the Maldivian literary community.

Objectives

The MNU Book Fair aims to:

Provide Maldivian writers with an opportunity to showcase their literary works to the public.
Provide a platform for introducing new and unpublished literary works and resources to the community.
Encourage a culture of reading and nurture a lifelong interest in literature.
Provide authors with an opportunity to promote and sell their published works.

Registration is now open for authors, publishers, and other exhibitors wishing to participate in the MNU Book Fair 2026.

In support of the local literary community, participation in the MNU Book Fair is free of charge.
